LifeHouse Raises Over $100,000

During An Evening in the Garden of Life Gala

Gala speaker Ryan Dobson shared a heart-warming story about a pregnant teenager whose boyfriend left her and whose parents were angry. After the dust settled, the girl and the parents chose life and placed the baby for adoption. The adoptive parents were James and Shirley Dobson of the international ministry Focus on the Family, and the baby was Ryan himself, now creator and founder of KOR Ministries, an outreach for youth.

Two-hundred-fifty guests attended the October 10th fundraiser called An Evening in the Garden of Life in the Westin Oaks Galleria as Dobson shared with the audience the importance of LifeHouse and other homes for pregnant teenagers and young adults who need care, counseling and support during their unplanned pregnancies.

More than $100,000 was raised for LifeHouse that evening which provides housing and support for 11 women, and in some cases their newborns. All the LifeHouse services are provided at no cost to the residents.
