News · 07.16.2010 New Members of the LifeHouse Family!
We are blessed to introduce the newest members of the LifeHouse family who serve diligently as staff, role models, and family figures to our young residents. The backbone of the LifeHouse program is our houseparents. These wonderful people work each day with our girls; teaching them, counseling them, and becoming the hands and feet of Jesus as He brings about a transformation in their lives. The ‘family’ extends into the administrative side of the ministry, too.
Our Newest Additions:
Tahani Henderson, Relief Houseparent: After working for five years in education administration, Tahani moved to LifeHouse to fill the position of Relief Houseparent. Tahani is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. She attends Eagles’ Nest International Church in Tomball. She believes that every person has a plan specifically designed for them to fulfill.
She enjoys helping young women to follow the call of God on their lives in spite of what difficulties they must face and overcome.
Gena and TJ Weaver, Houseparents: God has also blessed us with our new Houseparents, TJ and Gena Weaver. TJ was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and was raised by a single mother who served in the U.S. Air Force. He became a licensed minister at the age of 17. He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and completed his B.S. in Communications. TJ continued his education through Liberty Theological Seminary and received his ordination this year. Gena was born in Tampa, Florida. Her father was also in the military and she spent her primary years in the beautiful country of Panama. Gena attended Liberty University and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. Following graduation, Gena served a mental health service organization before having their first child. From 2006 to 2009 the couple served as youth ministers in Gena’s home church in Massachusetts. They are the proud parents of Elianah (4) and Simirah (2).
Rachele Riggle, Executive Assistant: Rachele is on our front line answering the calls and taking care of initial interviews. She guides young women in their first steps to becoming LifeHouse residents. She has lived in Texas for 27 years and is the mother of Rebecca Lynn (11) and Colton (8), whom she adopted. Rachele has experience as an Administrative Assistant, Event Coordinator, Nursery Director, and Children’s Pastor. Rachele has partnered with many pro-life agencies to promote life as the choice for pregnant women. God has assembled an amazing team with such variety in personality, talent, and background, but with connected hearts to see the lives of young girls transformed and renewed by being the tangible hand of a loving God who comes to restore life, two lives at a time.
