Alyssia is a girl with many goals for her life. She came to LifeHouse when she realized that her life was not headed in the right direction. She had made some poor decisions and found herself pregnant at 19 years old without enough support. Alyssia needed to turn things in her life around, and she is well on her way to doing that. After giving birth on January 4th, Alyssia followed through with the hardest decision she has ever made. Alyssia placed her son in the arms of two wonderful adoptive parents, Andy and Christy.
"They're an awesome family" Alyssia says joyfully.
As Alyssia makes plans to attend college she has peace that this decision, as terribly difficult as it was, was the best decision for her son. She says "LifeHouse has helped me mature and has helped me make some really hard decisions".
Alyssia's favorite Scripture is painted on the wall in the living room at LifeHouse. "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" -Jeremiah 29:11. Alyssia has no doubt that the Lord has great plans for her life.
